Corona virus guidelines and policies:
If you have any suspicion that you have been in contact with the virus please cancel your reservation (free of charge).
We will not be serving breakfast but will have self-serve coffee/tea in our dining room. The prices have been adjusted to non-breakfast rates.
Check-in will be handled remotely: Entrance code to the inn will be emailed and texted prior to arrival. Balance of charges will automatically be charged to your credit card on day of arrival. Your room key will be left in your room.
Innkeeper can be reached by phone, text or email from 7am to 7pm and after 7pm by ringing the kitchen doorbell (for emergencies only).
While we have always been diligent about our cleanliness, we are taking extra steps to minimize any virus risks:
Frequently touched items (lamp/light switches, knobs, handles, remotes) are disinfected before, during, and after your visit.
We sanitize our rooms between guests with UV light and Ozone gas (same procedure done in operating rooms).
We disinfect the self-serve coffee/tea service and all commonly touched surfaces all day.
Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk of the Inn.
Housekeeping upon request only and will be limited to trash removal and the restocking of towels, toiletries and cleaning supplies.
Common areas of the inn will be sanitized through-out the day.
Guests may order takeout food for consumption in our dining areas and porches (please don't eat in the bed). We have paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins and a microwave available in the dining room.
We expect that guests will cancel their stay if they have exhibited any symptoms of COVID-19 as defined by the CDC, or have been exposed to anyone known to have the virus.
Guests must wear masks in all areas except their rooms and should keep a minimum 6' distance from other guests in our common areas (outside of their own group/family) at all times with no such group to exceed 6 persons.
Guests should maintain all best practices for cleanliness including frequent hand washing and using hand sanitizer.
Guests who do not respect these protocols will be asked to leave the Inn.
We realize that these are difficult times for everybody and we appreciate everyone’s efforts and cooperation. We look forward to getting back to normal as soon as possible.
Check-in / Check-out:
Check-in is from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. LATE ARRIVAL WITH ADVANCE SET-UP ONLY (otherwise you will not get in). Late arrivals will be emailed a code that will give you access to the inn. Check-out is 11:00 am. Just leave room keys/beach badges on check-in desk (Replacement fee for each badge is $90 and each key $50).
In your room you will find a guide with complete information to make your stay at The Bentley Inn more comfortable. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. Please feel free to help yourself to coffee & tea starting around 6:30AM. We have available at no charge: wireless internet, beach towels, metal detectors & video tape library.
In the event you won't be able to use your reservation, you must cancel at least 2 weeks in advance of your arrival date. If you cancel within the 2 week period preceding your arrival, or if you must end your stay early, a refund will be remitted only if we are able to re-book the room. All cancellations will be charged a $25. processing fee per room.
We're sorry that we cannot accommodate pets. We know how special they are so we recommend 2 excellent boarding facilities within 1/2 hour from the inn:

We welcome well behaved children. Age 11- stay free, age 12+ $35/night. Since the Inn is not child-proof, children under 8 are to be accompanied by an adult at all times. In consideration of our other guests, children may not engage in horseplay, run or be loud inside the inn. You will need to bring a pack and play for your small children (we don't supply cribs). We have a community refrigerator in the dining room but not in the bedrooms so we suggest you bring a small cooler for your child's needs.

No candles, incense, markers, crayons or glitter please. Smoking allowed on the grounds & porches (away from open windows, doors and air conditioners).
Smoking is permitted outside only (OK to smoke on the porches away from pen windows or airconditioners). If you smoke inside the Inn, a $300 professional cleaning fee will be charged to your account (or credit card). Fines for violation of local and state fire codes may also apply.
A two night minimum is in effect on weekends mid June through mid September and 3 night minimum on Holidays.

We do supply beach towels and beach badges in-season. We do not supply beach chairs or umbrellas. Beach gear can be purchased at The Beach House up the street from us.
